green partyThings have been slow on the election front for Green Party candidate Max Kennedy.

He says while many people are receptive to the party platform, they shy away from committing to a vote because they don’t believe the Greens will form government when the vote goes down October 19th.Kennedy himself is predicting an NDP minority.

However, he says that shouldn’t stop people from voting who they believe will be the best representative of their individual riding.

He says during that run with Lester B. Pearson, there were only 14 NDP MP’s, and they institute many social programs that “we take for granted today.”

For policies, Kennedy says the Guaranteed Livable Income gives a sense of security for both young and old age groups.  For the older folks, it gives them a way to maintain a half decent lifestyle into retirement.  For the young, it’s a chance to not worry about money while they are studying in college or university.

In fact, Leader Elizabeth May has come out recently and said a Green Party government would slowly eliminate and abolish tuition and forgive past student debt.

He adds the train derailments and spills near Gogama revisits memories of the Lac-Megantic disaster, adding most of the reward is heading out west.

He says if anyone has any questions about the party or his stance on issues, email him at max.kennedy@greenparty.ca
