city hallThe 2016 preliminary budget is out, and there’s lots of spending to come.

Most of that spending will be on staff salaries and benefits ($577,990 + $463,120 = $1,041,110).  Another key item is the $1-million increase to the roads budget.

City CAO Joe Torlone says that’s without hearing budget presentations from city staff, and doesn’t include opportunities to save with the core services review.

The job is to now hear from all city departments and other groups that want to chime in on their thoughts.
