The first court appearance came and went for 19-year old Nathan Koostachin, faster than it takes to read this sentence.

Koostachin is facing one count of first degree murder in the death of 19-year old Austin Theriault a couple weeks ago.

Theriault’s body was found in Bozzer Park on the morning of Wednesday, July 13th and Koostachin was arrested that same evening.

Local lawyer Ben Dawkins spoke on behalf of the accused.

Koostachin was remanded into custody, and will make his next appearance by video on August 22nd.
