The Porcupine Health Unit, in conjunction with the City of Timmins, have issued a PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY.

It’s effective July 29, 2016 at 3:30 pm, for all residents living east of the intersection of Lawrence St/Highway 101 East and all residents North and South of Ferguson Rd, who draw their water from the municipal water system. (A rolling boil of 1 minute is sufficient for drinking water purposes)

The Boil Water Advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure until such time that repairs can be completed and microbiological testing can be performed.

Following the repairs, the City of Timmins will be testing the water supply to determine its potability.

The situation will be continuously monitored and all residents will be notified when the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted.
