The City of Timmins is advising motorists and pedestrians that traffic signal timing changes on Algonquin Boulevard and in the Business Improvement Area (BIA) will take place between the dates of Monday, August 29 and Wednesday, August 31.

While these changes are being performed, there will be an impact to the synchronization of signals between the intersection at Brunette Road, up to the intersection at Theriault Boulevard – returning to normal once all intersections have been modified.

The changes will result in an increase in the total cycle time at all intersections from 90 seconds to 110 seconds.

This scope of work will also include changes to the four BIA traffic signals on Pine and Cedar Streets, as these traffic signals also need to be synchronized with the signals located on Algonquin Boulevard.

We thank residents for their patience during this transition, and remind motorists and pedestrians to be mindful when traveling through these intersections.
