The Timmins Police Service – Criminal Investigation Division is in the midst of completing its investigating into an assault which occurred during the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 28th.  This, in the area of Elm Street North and Algonquin Blvd in Timmins.

As a result of the investigation, Cindy Nicole LABELLE, 36, of Timmins, has been charged with:

  • One count of Aggravated Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Assault with a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Breach of Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The charged person remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.

The male victim of the assault was treated at the Timmins and District Hospital for serious injury stemming from the assault.
