A Timmins man is facing multiple child-pornography related charges.

Timmins Police say 29-year old Keith Payette was charged on April 19th after an investigation that began this past February.  It started after TPS received information from partner agencies.

The investigation was completed by officers from the Criminal Investigations Unit and the E-Crime unit.

Payette faces seven charges in all contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.  They include:

  • Possession of Child Pornography
  • Child Pornography – written material (x2)
  • Import, distribute, sell or possess child pornography for the purpose of distribution (x2)
  • Arrange to commit a sexual offence against a person under the age of 18 (x2)
