Two people have been charged after an incident Monday night at Hollinger Park, during the Stars and Thunder Festival.

Police say they were called to the scene after receiving complaints of two people not abiding by festival rules.  When officers attended and spoke to the individuals, they say an “altercation took place, witnessed by many individuals attending the festival.”

Officers gained control and placed the two under arrest.

32-year old Alexander Stevens and 54-year old Mackenzie Stevens were both charged.

  • Alexander faces charges of: Assault Peace Officer, Resist Arrest, Disarm Peace Officer and Mischief under $5,000.
  • Mackenzie faces charges of Aggrevated Assault Peace Officer, Resist Arrest and Mischief under $5,000.

Both were released on a Promise to Appear, with conditions they do not attend Hollinger Park.  Both have been given a court date August 15th.
