Celebrate Canada’s birthday with a heartwarming act by adopting your very own fur baby.

The Timmins and District Humane Society is kicking off the “Canada SAVE 150” campaign, an effort to find 150 cats and kittens a forever home.

In a release, the OSPCA’s Chelsea Romain says it includes a reduced adoption fee of $50—cat or kitten—and a number of goodies and necessities to get you started.

Those include gift bags, a starter bag of kitty food, six weeks of free pet insurance and more.

“Every year, the Timmins and District Humane Society sees a large number of cats come into our care,” said shelter manager Alicia Santamaria in the release, “We are hoping this campaign will help find the cats in our care their forever homes, so that we can make room for the others that will eventually come through our doors.”

The promotion is beginning Tuesday, and there will be a kick off Friday at the Urban Park.

As well on Friday, they say staff and volunteers will be there to answer questions and have applications to adopt, photos and bios on hand.

And they wouldn’t leave these pets away from public view, adoptable kittens and dogs will be there too!
