A truck driver suffered serious injuries after a rollover near Hearst over the weekend.

OPP say they, along with Cochrane EMS services, responded to the incident on Highway 11 about 40 kilometres west of Hearst Sunday morning.

“The Hearst Fire Department was also called to assist with extricating the driver,” says the OPP release.

The driver involved was air-lifted to hospital.

OPP add the Highway was closed for several hours but has since been reopened to traffic.

The Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change of Ontario (MOECC) also attended due to a fuel spillage.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
