A 19-year old Timmins man is facing charges after an assault, and a theft from the LCBO.

Timmins Police say last Tuesday, they received a report of an assault that happened the previous day.

“Information received by police indicated that while socializing in a residence, an individual became aggressive and physically assaulted the victim,” police say in a release.

Police indicate the victim was treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Jeremy Nakogee was located and arrested for the assault. But upon investigation, police also charged him with a theft that occurred at an LCBO on July 17th.

“He is alleged to have taken a quantity of liquor from the LCBO without paying for the items,” police add.

Nakogee was held in custody for a bail hearing set for Thursday. He faces seven charges in all, including:

ASSAULT

  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Assault Causing Bodily Harm
  • Breach of Probation (x2)

THEFT

  • Theft under $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Breach of Probation
