When you wake up Wednesday morning, it’ll be November 1st and the Ontario Energy Board’s time-of-use price periods will switch over to winter.

However, prices will remain the same with off-peak pricing staying at 6.5 cents a kilowatt-hour. Off-peak is weekdays between 7pm and 7am, plus weekends and holidays.

On-peak pricing—weekdays 7-11am and 5-7pm—is 13.2 cents a kilowatt-hour and mid-peak pricing—weekdays 11am-5pm—is 9.5 cents a kilowatt-hour.

The OEB says they will reset RPP prices and the GA credit for April 30, 2018 in a way that holds increases to the rate of inflation in accordance with legislation.
