Skate Hollinger is going ahead as planned, but the city’s financial contribution remains an unknown.

City council gave officials the approval to build the figure 8 track, as well as 24 pond hockey rinks that will be the setting of the Hollinger Cup pond hockey tournament in February.

However, the city is still looking at their options in regards to a request to donate $115-thousand dollars for the project.

The city adds that Skate Hollinger should register as a non-profit organization so they can take advantage of grants.
