On December 17, 2017, the Iroquois Falls Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the OPP North East Region Crime Unit began an investigation relating to the luring of a minor for a sexual purpose in Iroquois Falls, Ontario.

 

As a result of the investigation, Robert JOLIN, 38 years old, of Iroquois Falls, Ontario has been charged with the following offences:

 

  • Sexual Assault on a Person under 16 years of age, contrary to section 271 of the Criminal Code (CC),
  • Sexual Interference, contrary to section 151 of the CC and,
  • Luring a Person under 16 years of age by means of Telecommunication, contrary to section 172.1(1)(b) of the CC.

 

He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins, Ontario on February 20, 2018.
