Kids across the province are counting down the days until March break, starting next week on March 12th. There will be plenty going on in Timmins to keep the kids busy, including free swimming all week at the Archie Dillon Sportsplex pool, a science camp being run by Science Timmins, and a Harry Potter escape room at the Timmins Public Library.  See below for a full list of events and activities!

The YMCA of Timmins is hosting a March Break Camp with activities planned such as Kids Pound, Canadian Sports Activities, Snow Fort Building and a trip to Porcupine Ski Runners for an afternoon of Snowshoeing. Please call 705-360-4381 to register your child for the March Break Camp.

March Break Drama Camp – Monday, March 12th, 2018 9:00 am – Friday, March 16, 2018 4:00 pm, 325 Second Avenue in the Timmins Museum: NEC.  Join instructor Silvana Jasaitis for a week-long exploration of improvisation! Kids will discover how to use voice and movement to act out scenes that they will create themselves. A final showcase on the last day of camp will feature masks hand-made by the students.  Ages 6 to 11 years, $125 for non-members, $110 for members. Please register in advance as space is limited. Payment is due at time of registration. Children should bring a lunch and snack for the day, as well as indoor shoes, and wear black or dark-coloured clothing.
