**TIMMINS POLICE NEWS RELEASE**


On March 20, 2018, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers from the Timmins Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit, with assistance from patrol officers, executed a search warrant at a residence in Timmins.
As a result, police seized a number of Fentanyl strips, as well as Morphine tablets. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $340. Police also seized over $800 in Canadian Currency.
Two Timmins residents are facing charges as a result of the investigation.
Jeffrey HOOKIMAW, 35, of Timmins faces a charge of:
• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
Shelley OKIMAW, 35, of Timmins faces charges of:
• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of a Schedule I substance; and
• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000.
Both individuals were released on Promises to Appear in court.
On March 21, 2018, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Timmins as a result of a separate investigation. As a result, police seized several Fentanyl patches and Morphine tablets, as well as Canadian currency. The value of the drugs and currency seized is approximately $29,300.
Two individuals are facing charges as a result of the investigation.
Rylee BLANCHARD, 30, of Timmins faces charges of:
• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of a Schedule I substance; and
• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
Amir ABDELRAHMAN, 54, of Toronto faces charges of:
• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of a Schedule I substance; and
• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000.
Both individuals were held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for March 22, 2018 in
the Ontario Court of Justice.
