There’s lots of fun things going on for kids and adults this weekend in Timmins! From grabbing a beer to petting a sloth, you can have your pick of what you want to get up to this weekend.


Timmins Festival and Events Committee (TFEC) Beer Fest: 

Our very first craft beer festival will see breweries from all over Ontario making a stop at the Curling Club, sampling their unique brews and processes. Attendees will also be able to enjoy food from local vendors as well as live music from some of our city’s favourite acoustic players in a new type of fundraiser for both Timmins and our organization.  Get ready to fight for your right to barley! (Terrible beer pun)

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door, on sale Friday, March 2nd, 12pm, online at TimminsFestivals.com. Physical tickets will be available at Full Beard Brewing (219 Wilson) and Alfie’s Cigar Store (219 3rd).  All proceeds from this event will directly support Rock on the River, July 27th & 28th at the Participark.

All the vendors make the wares they’re selling, and there will be everything from photography and artisans, to home decor, knit and sewn items, pottery, stained glass, and more. Avon by Brenda Morrell is hosting a fundraiser in support of Living Space on Saturday, April 14th at the Lion’s Club, in Schumacher.
Ms. Morrell will be donating 50% of all her sales that day to Living Space. Items for sale will include health, beauty and bath products as well as clothing. GelMoment by Roseline Etelain will also be offering mini gel manicures, with 80% of proceeds going towards Living Space. A bake sale organized by Tanya Venne will also be on-site with proceeds being donated to Living Space.
Living Space currently operates an Emergency Overnight Shelter at 27 Cedar Street North in Timmins. The funds raised at this event will support our work in providing individuals experiencing homelessness in our community with a safe place to stay.

This amazing interactive, educational exhibit will feature over 30 LIVE ANIMAL EXHIBITS for people to enjoy at their leisure, 2 highly interactive 30-minute educational programs that will rotate 15 minutes apart each day and boat loads of staff with animals out for people to interact with in a family-friendly, hands-on environment.
Give yourself a good 1.5 to 2 hours to see and do everything.*** WHERE OUR ANIMALS COME FROM – Little Ray’s Reptiles Zoo is the largest exotic animal rescue in Canada and provides sanctuary for 100’s of seized and unwanted pets until the best long term solutions can be found. About 80% of the animals in our care are unwanted pets or seized animals and we do not take animals from the wild to utilize in these programs. We do have some animals that were born at our facility or other facilities in Canada but 100% of the animals we receive calls about that are eligible to be released are released 100% of the time. Other animals in our care that are appropriate for programs such as these are utilized for fun, thought provoking, educational programs promoting responsible pet ownership and conservation.
