Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have selected British jewelry company Cleave and Company to create their wedding bands. The palace announced hours before the wedding that the bride’s ring “has been fashioned from a piece of Welsh Gold, gifted by Her Majesty The Queen” and her husband will wear a “Platinum Band with a textured finish.” Best man Prince William will carry the rings into St. George’s Chapel.

While Meghan’s ring keeps with the royal tradition of using Welsh gold in wedding bands, Prince Harryhas made the surprising decision to wear a ring after becoming a married man. Unlike his brother, who does not wear a wedding ring, the 33-year-old will exchange bands with his new wife during the “giving of the rings” portion of the service. The gesture is yet another way Harry is screaming his love for Meghan to the world.

Details about the couple’s rings wasn’t the only revelation made prior to the wedding. As expected, theQueen has bestowed new titles on the duo. Following the nuptials, Prince Harry and Meghan will officially be known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The statement from Kensington Palace read: “The Queen has today been pleased to confer a Dukedom on Prince Henry of Wales. His titles will be Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel.Prince Harry thus becomes His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex, and Ms. Meghan Markle on marriage will become Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex.”
