Legendary Canadian singer, Gordon Lightfoot is set to rock the Sportsplex.

The 76-year-old is playing three shows in Northern Ontario, Aug 26th, 27th, and 28th as part of summer tour.  His first stop is in Timmins, Kirkland Lake, and finally North Bay.

Lightfoot was last in Timmins in 1961 when he shared the stage with Zeke Sheppard and the Dovermen. Lightfoot has won 15 Juno Awards and been nominated for 5 Grammy Awards. He was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1986 and the Canadian Country Music Hall Of Fame in 2001. In May 2003 was made a Companion of the Order of Canada and is also a member of the Order of Ontario.  In 2004 was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame and, in 2012 into the U.S. Songwriters Hall of Fame.
