Looks like the New Jersey Devils have signed another local to their club.

Iroquois Falls native Ryan Kujawinski put pen to paper Wednesday, signing a three-year entry level deal with the club.

He was originally drafted by the Devils in the third round (73rd overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, and spent time with the OHL’s Sarnia Sting, Kingston Frontenacs and more recently, the North Bay Battalion.

Kujawinski had 34 goals in 61 games split between the Fronts and Troops this past regular season, and helped North Bay advance to the OHL’s Eastern Conference Finals.  They were eliminated in six games by the eventual league champion Oshawa Generals.

This isn’t the first time the Devils have looked north for talent, as Timmins native Steve Sullivan also started his NHL career in New Jersey.
