Canada Post is trying to get rid of home-mail-delivery – but our postal workers will not go down without a fight

This, from CUPW President John Cameron, who says 10,000 homes will be forced to retrieve their mail from a community mailbox. That means roughly 40% of Timmins routes will be eliminated.

Cameron says it won’t just affect people with mobility issues

He goes on to thank allies like NDP MP Charlie Angus; who he says, continues to fight tirelessly on this issue with Canada Post – with Angus vowing to bring this issue up during the federal election

President John Cameron says the fight is not over and you can help stop Canada Post’s decision to eliminate door to door delivery

He is inviting the public to help maintain the “essential” service by attending a town hall meeting July 8th. NDP MP Charlie Angus is expected to be in attendance.

More details regarding the time and place will be available closer to the date.
