The Ontario Council of Hospital Unions is taking their fight for better hospital care to the Human Rights Commission.

They OHCU is also writing to the Ontario Human Right Commission alleging ageism in Ontario hospitals.  The report stems from the council taking testimonies from  hundred of Northern Ontario residents after constant cuts from the Ontario government to hospital care over the past two decades.

The report also chronicles tragic stories often leading to the loss of lives.

They add constant cuts to health care in Northern Ontario is having a major impact on seniors and they want the government to meet some of their demands like funding hospitals to at least the rate of inflation, stopping the closure of acute care beds and stopping the privatization of hospital surgeries and clinical services.
