porterlogoNorth Bay is the newest addition to Porter Airlines’ network, and there are direct flights to and from Timmins available.

Beginning October 7, 2015, Porter will offer daily flights between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (BBTCA) and North Bay Jack Garland Airport. A second route featuring service between North Bay and Timmins, Ont., is also being introduced.

Initial roundtrip prices are $238 for North Bay-Toronto and $220 for North Bay-Timmins. Flights are now available for booking at www.flyporter.com.

“Over the last several years, we have grown our Ontario markets substantially by making it more affordable for people to fly,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “North Bay is the eighth city we are serving in the province. This provides even more options for our passengers.”

“We are pleased and excited to welcome Porter Airlines to our city,” stated North Bay Mayor Al McDonald. “We believe in working with business partners to grow our city and this announcement today signals confidence that we are on the right track.”

From its beginnings as a railway town on the shores of Lake Nipissing, to establishing itself as one of the most artistic towns in Ontario, North Bay has grown to be known as the ‘Gateway to the North’. The city possesses a treasure-trove of artists, musicians and sculptors, making it the perfect destination for art lovers. The proximity to fresh water lakes and the Laurentian Ski Hill also helps make it a centre for outdoor recreation.

“We are pleased to welcome Porter Airlines to the North Bay Jack Garland Airport and we look forward to developing our relationship and further enhancing air service to the City of North Bay and the region,” said Ewen Cornick, Chair of the North Bay Jack Garland Airport Corporation.

Porter’s home base at BBTCA is known for convenience and proximity to downtown Toronto; just 2.5 km from the central business and entertainment districts. The airline is known for providing a premium passenger experience, including leather seats, complimentary wine and beer onboard, and airport lounge access. Its ‘flying refined’ approach has helped make Porter the Best Regional Airline in North America two years running at the Skytrax World Airline Awards.

Route Departure Arrival
North Bay-Timmins 1 p.m. 1:45 p.m.
