Established in 1994, Welcome to Timmins Night has grown to become the premier event to showcase and promote community information ranging from municipal services, social clubs, health, academic, sports and recreation, culture and volunteer organizations to newcomers and existing residents.

All members of the community are welcome. Those attending the event are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or a washed stuffed animal as their entry fee. All food and soft toys will be collected at the event entrance and donated to the South Porcupine food bank and the Cochrane District EMS. During the event, the Timmins and District Multicultural Centre and the Timmins Local Immigration Partnership will be hosting a Newcomer’s Reception for all new residents of Timmins. The reception will take place in the Sports Heritage Hall of Fame from 7h30 pm to 8h30 pm.
