The BroHunger-Awareness-Week-Canadawn Bag challenge is just one of the easy ways to get involved in Hunger Awareness Week.

Executive Director Michelle Goulet hopes it will be a platform where people can learn about where and how to contribute their time to help combat hunger.

Red Cross and The Porcupine Health Unit are also getting involved. The Health Unit will be providing workshops on how to cook with cans of food and beans and greens. Red Cross will be holding their annual Bowlful for Breakfast campaign, which you can find out more HERE.

To participate in the Brown Bag challenge, all you have to do is bring a brown bag lunch to work and donate money which would’ve been used for lunch to the cause. Contact the AHC about participating by visiting their website.

Hunger Awareness Week runs from September 21-25.
