Timmins Police Service investigating suspicious fire on Birch St. N.

On October 13, 2015, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Timmins Fire Department attended the scene of a structure fire on Birch St. N.

The fire was extinguished, and the investigation was subsequently transferred to the Timmins Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Section.

The fire has been deemed suspicious, and the investigation continues by members of the Criminal Investigation Section. The fire caused extensive damage to the residence’s upstairs unit.

Fortunately, no injuries were sustained in the fire. The Timmins Police Service is asking anyone who may have information on this suspicious fire to call 705-264-1201.
