computer-keyboard-1188763A massive online child porn bust is resulting in charges for 80 people across Ontario, including several in Northern Ontario and a lone Timmins man.

The OPP say Marc Malette was one of the hardest hit, as he is facing six charges in all.  Those charges include: Making sexually explicit material available to child, Possession of Child Pornography, Invitation to Sexual Touching, Luring a person under 16, Sexual Interference and Sexual Assault.

A youth is also among the charged, and 274 charges were handed down in total.

Ontario Provincial Police says the investigation involved multiple local forces, as well as the RCMP, the Canada Border Services Agency, the Canadian Forces National Investigation Service, and U.S. Homeland Security.

Drug and weapons-related charges were also laid.

Police say 20 victims were identified during the investigation and referred to community-based resources for assistance.

The investigation also allowed police to secure the safety of nine people who had been working in the sex trade industry as minors or against their will.
