Timmins Police Official-Badge

The Timmins Police Service is in the midst of completing its investigation into a collision which occurred shortly after 8:00 p.m. yesterday evening  just west of the intersection of Algonquin Blvd West and Mountjoy Street in Timmins.
A 36 year old male pedestrian was injured while attempting to cross the roadway and was struck by a west bound tractor trailer unit.
The injured pedestrian was taken to Timmins and District Hospital by ambulance for treatment for serious injuries.
In the course of their investigation, the Timmins Police Service located the vehicle and driver involved in the collision thanks to information provided by alert citizens.
At present, the Timmins Police Service – Traffic Section continues with its investigating into the root cause of this collision.
