On July 17, 2016 at approximately 11:30 P.M. the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a dropped 911 call from a vehicle on Highway 11 near Iroquois Falls.  A short time later, police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

The investigation lead to the arrest of three individuals from Timmins as well as the seizure of methamphetamine, methylenedioxyamphetamine (ecstasy) and cannabis resin.  The drugs are valued at over $200,000.00.

The driver, Dustin DONIVAN, 27, of Timmins, stands charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methylenedioxyamphetamine contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cannabis Resin contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000, contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code
  • 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code
  • Drive motor vehicle – no licence contrary to section 32(1) of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

Also charged in this investigation is Danielle MOREAU, 30 of Timmins.  Her charges include:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methylenedioxyamphetamine contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Cannabis Resin, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Passenger – fail to properly wear seat belt, contrary to section 106(3)(b) of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario

Furthermore, Marcel PERRON, 50, of Timmins has also been charged in conjunction with this investigation.  His charges include:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methylenedioxyamphetamine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Cannabis Resin, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA
  • Permit unlicenced person to drive motor vehicle, contrary to section 32(10) of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario

The three accused were held in custody, pending a bail hearing on July 18, 2016.
