Timmins Police Official-Badge

The Timmins Police Service has completed its investigation into a disturbance on Tuesday July 26th at the intersection of Pine Street North and Eighth Avenue in Timmins.

A Timmins Police Services officer responded to a call for service where a youth is alleged to have run out into traffic and kicked the side of a moving car. He then proceeded to accost a property owner.

The suspect was described to police and found a short while later and is further alleged to have provided a false name to police at that time.

The Timmins Police have charged a 17 year old male youth of Timmins with:

  • One count of Personation with Intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Cause Disturbance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Fail to Comply With Undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The youth, who cannot be named in keeping with the stipulations of the Youth Criminal Justice Act was arrested at the scene and was held for a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.
