The Timmins Police Service has completed its investigation into a break and enter incident that occurred at a Schumacher residence during the late afternoon hours of Friday July 29th.

Timmins Police officers responded to the call for service and arrested a male person who is alleged to have damaged the entry door to the residence with a weapon in order to gain entry.

It is further alleged that he then proceeded to destroy a number of personal items owned by the victim along with causing damage to a glass door in the kitchen area of the home.

The suspect was located and arrested at the residence by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result of their investigation, Guy LAUZON, 52, of Timmins has been arrested and charged with:

  • One count of Break and Enter with Intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused was held in police custody and had a bail hearing yesterday afternoon at Provincial Court in Timmins.

He remains in custody at this time with a court date of August 5th to revisit his application for bail.
