As the result of a search of a wooded area off of Hwy 655 and northwest of the intersection of Hwy 655 and Ross Avenue in Timmins, the Timmins Police Service confirms that human remains have been located.

The identity of the deceased person is not confirmed at this time and will be based on a postmortem
examination.

The Timmins Police Service ERT team, in conjunction with North Bay Police Service detectives, had been deployed in this area to resume its search efforts in regards to a missing person from North Bay.

Charles BEMROSE, 59, of North Bay, had been reported as “missing” in August of this year to the North Bay Police Service.

The missing person’s vehicle had been located in an area adjacent to private property off of Hwy 655 on October 5th.

The Timmins Police Service has been working in conjunction with the North Bay Police Service and the OPP to complete a comprehensive search of the area.

There are no public safety concerns linked to this activity.
