Part dreamy coming-of-age story, part crime thriller, Mean Dreams will be screening in Timmins at Imagine Cinemas Cinema 6 on Monday, January 16 at 7:00 PM.

Following the screening, a question and answer period will feature William Woods, one of the film’s producers who is visiting from Los Angeles.

The film, which was shot around Sault Ste. Marie, stars Bill Paxton (A liens, Twister) , Sophie Nélisse, Josh Wiggins, and Colm Feore (B on Cop, Bad Cop, Thor) , and is directed by Nathan Morlando (Citizen Gangster).

Mean Dreams makes great use of Northern Ontario scenery and was filmed in the fall, a favorite season for nature tourists travelling through the Algoma District. The film premiered internationally in 2015 at la Quinzaine des Réalisateurs at Cannes in May and at TIFF in September.

This special screening is hosted by the Timmins Film Society. Advance screening tickets are available for $10 from Black Spruce Gallery & Framing and the Timmins Museum. Online ticket purchases are also available with the addition of a small convenience fee.
