If you wanted more insight into remediation efforts at the site of a train derailment near Gogama, you’re in luck.

CN Rail released a massive report, outlining what they’ve done at the site thus far and what the plan is moving forward.

As part of the 1,401-page report, they talk about oil sheens on the Makami River, investigations into groundwater, waste disposal, surface water sampling and an ecological risk assessment.

CN also advises that anyone looking for further details as time goes along, their website and phone line is still open and they will also provide updates as required.

(The full report is 130MB, too large for even our servers to upload at one time.  The original file is only available until April 30 so if you really want a copy after this date, download it as soon as you can!  We also have the file with us.)
