With second quarter fundraising numbers anticipated for Monday in the NDP Leadership race, candidate and local MP Charlie Angus is taking care of another priority: his family.

According to The Canadian Press, Angus says his sister has been moved into palliative care, adding her time is running short.

He goes on to say his sister supported him at his campaign launch in February and he must now be there to support her.

As a result, Angus will miss a debate in Victoria that was slated for this Wednesday, August 2nd.

The Timmins-James Bay MP is one of four looking to replace Tom Mulcair.
