For the next couple weeks, Second Avenue—more specifically, in front of the Timmins Public Library—will be construction central.

The city says they are constructing four accessible parking spots in the front of the building.

Due to the work, traffic is being reduced to two lanes (one each way) from Brunette Road to Spruce Street South.

The city adds sidewalk access will be limited within the construction area.

“Access to the Main Doors of the Library will be maintained during construction by way of a fenced path from the Library parking lot,” they state in a release, “Alternatively, patrons can choose to park in the Municipal lot closest to Brunette Road and enter on the east side of the building.”

Work is scheduled to start Monday morning at 7am, and finishing on September 29th at 7pm.
