OPP in Elliot Lake have charged a Timmins man with impaired driving.

They say last Wednesday after midnight, police were on patrol at a dog park in Elliot Lake when they saw a vehicle idling with the driver slouched over at the dog park.

“The driver was awakened after several attempts,” OPP state in a release, “And while speaking to the driver, the officers determined the driver had been consuming alcohol.”

The officer also located a “small amount” of marijuana in the vehicle.

33-year old Robert Quibell was charged with:

  • Care or Control While Impaired
  • Care or Control Over 80 milligrams
  • Possession of a Schedule II Substance-Cannabis Marijuana (under 30 grams)

Quibell is set to appear in an Elliot Lake courtroom December 5th.
