Some urgently-needed medical equipment is on the way to Timmins and District Hospital after a generous donation from the hospital auxiliary staff.

Representatives were on hand to present an $81,000 cheque.

This money will help in the purchase of the following items:

  • Silt Lamp for the ER ($10,000)
  • Five Treatment Chairs for the ER ($10,000)
  • BiPap Machine for the DI Cardio-Pulmonary Dept ($23,000)
  • Refrigerator for the Laboratory ($20,000)
  • Two Bariatric Treatment tables for the Therapy section ($7,000)
  • Nephroscope for the urology and surgery department ($5,000)
  • Glidescope cable for the surgical department ($6,000)

Six auxiliary members were also honoured during the department’s annual Christmas lunch with Provincial Life Memberships with the Hospital Auxiliaries Association of Ontario.

Those new members include: Debbie Dupuis, Annette Gelinas, Nancy Pandolfi, Lil Lehto, Jo Morrissette and Helen Phippen.
