Two men from Hearst and another from Cochrane have been arrested and charged with child porn offenses in separate cases.

In one Hearst case, OPP say the accused “communicated with undercover officers in Switzerland and New Zealand on a file sharing site where the accused made available Child Pornography files” between September and October.

The investigation turned over to the OPP once it was learned the accused lived in Ontario.

Police executed a search warrant early last week in Hearst, seized a computer and several other related items and arrested 30-year old Pascal Comeau.

He is charged with one count of Making Available Child Pornography, one count of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Accessing Child Pornography.

The other incident stems from a complaint received by police in Quebec. They say a male party was “communicating online with a 13-year old for a sexual purpose” and the accused was revealed to be in Ontario as well.

30-year old Wayne Daniel Berube was arrested following a search warrant at a Hearst home.

Berube faces charges of one count of Luring a Child, one count of Transmitting Sexually Explicit Material to a Child, one count of Possession of an Obscene picture for the Purpose of Distribution and one count of Breaching his Recognizance of Bail.

Both of them were released after bail hearings and are due in court in Hearst December 13th.

Meanwhile, a Cochrane man has been arrested following a six-month investigation and a search warrant executed at a Cochrane home and a hotel in Timmins.

A computer and several related items were seized.

27-year old Robert Andre Doire was charged with two counts of Making Available Child Pornography, three counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Accessing Child Pornography.

He was released from a bail hearing and is due in a Cochrane court January 16, 2018.

The investigation into all the above cases are continuing.
