**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE**


The Timmins Police Service is continuing with its investigation into a suspicious vehicle fire where human remains were located at the scene on Price Road on April 20th.
The Timmins Police Service continues to deploy officers from its Criminal Investigations Division in conjunction with the Office of the Regional Coroner.
For clarification, as originally reported, the human remains of 4 deceased persons were located at the scene. Three were found within the vehicle, with the body of a fourth person located nearby.
Post-mortem examinations are scheduled to take place in Toronto later this week. The identity of the deceased persons remains unconfirmed at this time.
The vehicle involved in the fire is described as a 2004 Chrysler Intrepid, green or blue in color.
At this stage of the investigation, public assistance is being sought in regards to information pertaining to any sightings of the vehicle leading up to and including Friday April 20th and any sightings of the following persons:

  • Joey GAGNON, age 37, of Timmins

 

 

  • Tammy GAGNON (ROBITAILLE), age 34, of Timmins

 

 

  • Cole GAGNON, age 16, of Timmins

 

 

  • Brandy GAGNON, age 14, of Timmins

 

The Timmins Police Service has released the scene where the vehicle was located in Price Township as of yesterday evening.
Furthermore, the investigation has made it necessary for the processing of a local residence by Timmins Police Service – Forensic Investigations Division.
The Timmins Police Service continues to liaise with a local family believed to be related to this event and is committed to maintaining an appropriate balance between moving the investigation forward, keeping the public informed, and the respect for the privacy of the families.
The Timmins Police Service will continue to make efforts to keep the general public informed with recent developments but no media conferences will be scheduled until the outcomes of the Post-mortem examinations are complete.
