Top Competitors from Timmins in different sports are heading to Mississauga for the 2018 Ontario 55+ Games taking place August 10th-12th.

 

1400 55+ participants will compete in 18 sports, including: bid euchre, billiards, bocce, carpet bowling, contract bridge, cribbage, cycling, darts, euchre, five pin bowling, floor shuffleboard, golf, lawn bowling, pickleball, slo-pitch, swimming, tennis and walk/run.

About the Ontario 55+ Summer Games

  • For the first time, the City of Mississauga is the official host of the 2018 Ontario 55+ Summer Games.
  • The Ontario 55+ Summer Games take place every two years.
  • The Games will feature over 1400 participants (athletes, coaches and officials).
  • Participants range in age from 55 to 93.
  • The Games include both physical and mental challenges and plenty of opportunity for fun and fellowship.
  • The Games create a sense of community and enhanced quality of life for older adults.
