**ROGERS MEDIA NEWS RELEASE**

On Monday, the Ted Rogers Community Grant Program, in conjunction with Kiss 99.3 and 92.1 Rock, awarded  Science Timmins $5000.

December 2nd marked the 10 year anniversary of the passing of Ted Rogers . His passion and spirit is still a driving force that is exhibited in our company values. This is the type of program he would be extremely proud to support. ted Rogers was a strong believer in education and he was a dreamer who was not afraid to fail. He would look at technologies and was relentless in coming up with ideas to make them better. As Ted  Rogers would say “ The Best is yet to come” and I’m sure that adage applies in this case with Science Timmins.

Science Timmins will use this money to inspire youth in our region to get involved with space science and engineering. The innovative program will connect youth with Scientists and experts in different STEM fields and even work on launching a payload into the atmosphere. All with the goal of developing local youth into the STEM leaders of tomorrow.

Congratulations to Lorraine Cantin, Antoine Garwah and the countless people behind the scenes at Science Timmins for  their commitment to making Timmins a better place to live.
