“We are honoured to be the host city for such a prestigious competition. Timmins  is a winter wonderland with a predictable, cold and long winter. We have on our doorstep a world class  cross country ski facility and a network of impeccably groomed trails that are second to none. Our easy access from major markets and the legendary northern hospitality that we are renown for, are two other assets that matter greatly when bidding on these types of events. We applaud the work of the organizing committee, and that of the volunteers at Porcupine Ski Runners. They are the unsung heroes that will help shine a light on the City”  added Guy Lamarche, Manager Tourism & Events City of Timmins.
