**JAMES BAY OPP NEWS RELEASE**


On January 22, 2019, at approximately 3:30 a.m., members of the James Bay Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 11, west of the Village of Moonbeam, Ontario; the driver was possibly impaired.

 

Police investigation revealed that the uninjured male was impaired by alcohol.

 

Dominik HUET, 22-years-old, of Fauquier, Ontario, has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus) contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CC).

 

He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kapuskasing, Ontario, on March 4, 2019, to answer to the charge.

 

The driver was served with a 90 day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and the motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.

 

Police are asking the public to call the authorities if they see someone getting behind the wheel after having consumed intoxicating substances.
