Thank you to ALL our supporters who in 2018 contributed an estimated 32,300 lbs of food & hygiene items and $52,235 to the food bank! (We also had $566 in interest income).

? Our 2018 expenses totaled $73,387 (includes $5,753 capital expenses and $834 in fundraising costs), and we had a shortfall of $20,590.

Not including capital & fundraising costs, it costs us on average $5,000 to $6,000 a month to operate the food bank, with majority (>70%) spent on groceries (bread, margarine, milk, frozen meat products, fresh produce, dry & canned goods, and sundries).

? SPFB has been serving those in need in Timmins & Area since 1987, is operated by 30 volunteers, and monthly operating costs averaged $5,566 in 2018.

? For Sept-Oct-Nov-Dec we served a monthly average of 301 people (191 adults & 110 children).
