NEWS RELEASE
TIMMINS AND DISTRICT HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation is pleased to accept a $5,027 cheque from the Duciaume family of the McIntyre Coffee Shop. The funds were raised at their Christmas Charity Gala, an event that took place in December.

Michael Duciaume said both his mother and sister have had their own struggles with cancer in recent years and he believes that the Breast Wellness Centre in the Timmins and District Hospital would be very deserving of the funds. Marc Duciaume said “When people first receive a cancer diagnosis it can be devastating and financial issues can be an added worry; therefore, we wanted to help alleviate some potential financial concerns.”

The funds will be used to enhance the Breast Wellness Centre and update equipment in that department.
