On February 7, 2019 shortly after 6:00 p.m. members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Temiskaming Shores Fire Department, responded to two calls for large blue recycling bins that had been set on fire.  

Police are seeking information to help solve the suspicious fires which occurred at Wellington Street, North, in the City of Temiskaming Shores. 

The recycling bins sustained some damage, valued at $800. 

The investigation into the fires is ongoing.
