**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man stemming from an incident reported to them on Sunday, March 3rd.

Timmins Police Service officers responded to an incident where it is alleged a female victim was held against her will and subjected to threats of violence.

The investigation led to the victim being located by the Timmins Police Service and to the arrest of a local man without incident.

As a result of the incident, Richard LATOUR, 45, of Timmins, have been charged with:
– Forcible Confinement contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Utter Threats contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused person remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing at Provincial Court in Timmins slated for this morning (March 4th) to answer to the charges laid against him.
