**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a local woman stemming from an incident which occurred yesterday afternoon in the downtown core of Timmins.

A Timmins Police Service officer responded to a call for service regarding a suspicious person complaint regarding a woman who attended at a local retail store in Timmins.

Once on scene, the officer proceeded to interview the woman who was the subject of the complaint.

The identity of the woman had been confirmed and was taken into police custody on the strength of an existing arrest warrant.

While being processed at the police station, the woman is alleged to have been found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine tablets, a controlled substance.

As a result of this incident, Jena-Lyn LEVESQUE, 47, of Timmins, has been charged with:
– Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against her.
