**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged two local women stemming from a theft complaint which took place during the afternoon hours of Sunday, May 12th, at a Brunette Street grocery store in Timmins.
The responding Timmins Police Service officers completed their investigation which indicates that two women are alleged to have entered the store, gathered a number of beer products and other items and fled the store without making any effort to pay for the items.

The total value of items taken is pegged at roughly $100.00.
The suspects were identified, located and arrested by the Timmins Police Service as short while later.
As a result of this incident, Celina WESLEY, 36, and Gabrielle KIOKE, 34, both of Timmins, have been charged with:
– Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
WESLEY is charged with an additional charge of
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
WESLEY remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
KIOKE has been released from police custody but must attend at Provincial Court in Timmins on July 2nd to answer to the charges laid against her.
